Morven North Offshore Wind Farm Array Project

Morven North

The site is within Scottish waters and would consist of turbines and supporting foundations, inter-array cabling and offshore substation platforms.

Located 61km from shore
Covering an area of 511km²
Water depth of 62-75 metres
96 maximum number of wind turbines
424
km
Up to 424km of inter-array cabling

km
Up to 484km of interconnector cabling

Wind turbine foundationsĀ

Fixed bottom, including monopile, or jacket foundation. The jacket foundation could be with either pin piles or suction caisson.

Offshore substation platforms

Up to four HVAC collector substation platforms and one HVDC convertor substation platform.
Two white offshore wind turbines standing in ocean water beyond rocky shoreline with waves breaking on dark rocks, under partly cloudy blue sky with construction or service vessels visible near the turbines

Offshore substation platform foundations

As per wind turbine options, with the addition of a gravity base structure.
